Al-Asharinah (Arabic:العشارنة) is aSyrian village located in theTell Salhab Subdistrict of theal-Suqaylabiyah District inHama Governorate. According to theSyria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), al-Asharinah had a population of 6,347 in the 2004 census.[1] Its inhabitants are predominantlySunni Muslims.[2] During theSyrian Civil War the residents of the town were displaced by the Syrian government and resettled byAlawites who had been driven out of the Ishtabraq village nearIdlib.[3]
