TheAhchipsou were aSadz (Abkhaz-Abazin)[1] tribe, that lived onCaucasus Major, near the modern border ofKrasnodar Krai andAbkhazia. They lived at the upperMzymta, and its inflowAchipse, modernKrasnaya Polyana,Adlersky City District,Sochi,Russia. The Ahchipsou were dominated by the clan of Kazılbeg Azaguyipa.
The Ahchipsou were conquered in May, 1864, showing the last resistance during theRussian-Circassian War. After the war they resettled into theOttoman Empire (seeMuhajirism).
