Akash Singh (born 26 April 2002) is an Indiancricketer who plays forBaroda in domestic cricket andLucknow Super Giants inIndian Premier League.[1]

Career

Akash made hisTwenty20 debut on 9 November 2019, forRajasthan in the2019–20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.[2][3] Prior to his Twenty20 debut, he represented theIndia under-19 cricket team in the2019 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup in September 2019,[4] playing in three matches during the tournament.[5] He was also called up to theIndia B cricket team for the U19 Challenger Cup.[6] In December 2019, he was named in India's squad for the2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[7]

In the2020 IPL auction, he was bought by theRajasthan Royals ahead of the2020 Indian Premier League but was released before the next auction.[8] In February 2021, Singh was bought again by theRajasthan Royals in theIPL auction ahead of the2021 Indian Premier League.[9] He made hisList A debut on 23 February 2021, for Rajasthan in the2020–21 Vijay Hazare Trophy.InIndian Premier League 2023, Akash Singh was signed byChennai Super Kings to replace their bowler Mukesh Choudhary who got injured[10]
