Ajijesh Pachat is aMalayalamnovelist,short story writer andcolumnist fromMalappuram district ofKerala,India. He has won numerous awards, including theKerala Sahitya Akademi Geetha Hiranyan Award.[1]
Ajijesh Pachat was born as the son of Krishnan and Shobana in Pallikkal,Malappuram,Kerala.[2] His storyTheevrashapam (The extreme curse) was published in the magazineChandrika. In 2006, he won second place in short story contest conducted by Samakalika Malayalam weekly for his storyTo X-ray under 16.[3] Pachat published his first collection of stories,Kisebi in 2016.[4] HisDaivakkali (God's game), short stories collection, won the Geetha Hiranyan Endowment byKerala Sahitya Akademi in 2017.[5][6] His first novelEzhampathippinte Adya Prathi ( The first copy of the seventh edition) was published in 2019.[7] He has also wrote forThe Indian Express,Madhyamam andDeshabhimani.[8]
