Aix-en-Provence Aerodrome (French:Aérodrome d'Aix-en-Provence[2]) (ICAO:LFMA), also known asAix les Milles Airport (Aéroport Aix les Milles[2]), is anairport servingAix-en-Provence, acommune in theBouches-du-Rhônedepartment of theProvence-Alpes-Côte d'Azurregion ofFrance. It is located 6 km (3.2 NM)west-southwest of Aix-en-Provence, in the village ofLes Milles.[1]
It formerly served as a military air base, known asBase Aerienne 114 d'Aix Les Milles.[4] A campus of theÉcole nationale de l'aviation civile (French civil aviation university) is also located at the aerodrome.
The airport resides at anelevation of 368 feet (112 m) abovemean sea level. It has onerunway designated 15/33 with anasphalt surface measuring 1,600 by 30 metres (5,249 ft × 98 ft).[1]
