Aix-en-Issart (French pronunciation:[ɛksɑ̃n‿isaʁ]) is acommune in thePas-de-Calaisdepartment in northernFrance.[3] A place namedin Ascio is mentioned as early as 800 AD while during theMiddle Ages the place used to be calledRodenaken byFlemish speaking people.[4]

Geography

A small village situated some 5 miles(7 km) east ofMontreuil-sur-Mer, at the D149 and D129 crossroads, by the banks of the small riverBras de Bronne, a tributary of theCanche.
