TheAgricultural Marketing Agreement Act of 1937 provides authority forfederalmarketing orders, and also reaffirmed themarketing agreements provisions of theAgricultural Adjustment Act of 1933.
Under the authority of this permanentlaw and subsequentamendments, marketing orders have been established formilk as well as numerousfruits,vegetables, and specialtycrops.
The Agricultural Marketing Agreement of 1937 created theRaisin Administrative Committee, which was the subject of the 2013 and 2015 Supreme Court caseHorne v. Department of Agriculture.
