Aglaodiaptomus is a genus ofcopepods in the familyDiaptomidae. They are often bright red or blue due tocarotenoidpigments.[1]
Species distributions are known very imprecisely, and two species are listed asvulnerable species on theIUCN Red List (marked VU below); both areendemic to theUnited States.A. kingsburyae was described from "a roadside ditch inOklahoma and a pool and a pond inTexas", whileA. marshianus was described fromLake Jackson,Florida.[2]
The genusAglaodiaptomus contains 15 species.[3]
