TheAdvanced Facer Canceller System (AFCS) is anelectro-mechanical mail handling system. A high-speedmachine used by theUS Postal Service tocull, face, and cancel lettermail through a series ofautomated operations. AFCS was first implemented in 1992, and is capable of processing 30,000 pieces of mail per hour.
