Adriana Nanclares Romero[a] (born 9 May 2002) is a Spanish professionalfootballer who plays as agoalkeeper forAthletic Club and theSpain national team. She previously played forReal Sociedad.
Nanclares started her career at Aurrera Vitoria.[3] She spent a year on loan atOiartzun but, throughout that period, she still trained withReal Sociedad from Monday to Thursday every week and only trained with Oiartzun on a Friday.[4] Following an injury to Real Sociedad's main goalkeeperMariasun Quiñones, in the2019–20 season, Nanclares was presented with an opportunity to make her debut in the opening league fixture againstValencia.[5] She ended up playing in four games in September including the Valencia one.[6] During the 2021–22 and 2022–23 seasons, she andElene Lete shared the goalkeeping duties almost equally in terms of appearances.
In 2023 she joinedAthletic Club on a three-year contract,[7] soon displacing Quiñones as the regular starter.
Nanclares made her debut for thesenior Spain team in November 2024, playing the entirety of a 5–0 friendly victory overSouth Korea (club teammateMaite Zubieta also gained a firstcap, though as a substitute).[8]
On 10 June 2025, Nanclares was called up to the Spain squad for theUEFA Women's Euro 2025.[9]
