Canberra- 1 January 2023 - Australia's Adam Walton (WC)- in a round one qualifying match at the Canberra International ATP 100 Challenger tournament.

Adam Walton (born 17 April 1999) is an Australian professionaltennis player. Walton has a career highATP singles ranking of world No. 74 achieved on 20 October 2025. He also has a career high doubles ranking of No. 136 achieved on 4 March 2024.[1] He has won four singles and four doubles titles on theATP Challenger Tour.

College career

Walton played college tennis at theUniversity of Tennessee,[2] where he won the2021 NCAA doubles title withPatrick Harper.[3]

Professional career

2023: First Challenger title

Walton won his maidenATP Challenger doubles title at the2023 San Luis Open Challenger withColin Sinclair. He won his first singles Challenger in August at theAtlantic Tire Championships in Cary, North Carolina.[4]

2024: Masters, Major debut and first win, top 100

For his Grand Slam debut, he received a wildcard for the2024 Australian Open.[5]Ranked No. 150, he qualified for the2024 Miami Open making his Masters debut.[6][7]

Following his third singles title at the2024 Taipei Challenger, with a win overIllya Marchenko he reached the top 100 at world No. 95 on 20 May 2024.[8][9]

He also received a wildcard for the2024 French Open.[10] He recorded his first ATP main draw win at the2024 Mallorca Championships defeatingYannick Hanfmann.[11]He qualified for the2024 Wimbledon Championships making his debut and recorded his first Major win overFederico Coria,[12] before losing toFrancisco Comesaña in the second round.[13]

2025: Masters first wins and fourth round, first ATP semifinal

InIndian Wells he defeatedGiulio Zeppieri for his first tour-level win of the 2025 season and first at the Masters 1000-level.InMiami where he entered the main draw as a lucky loser directly into the second round replacingHubert Hurkacz after his late withdrawal,[14] Walton defeatedLuciano Darderi[15] and wildcardColeman Wong to reach his first Masters fourth round.[16][17][18]

In July, Walton reached his firstATP Tour semifinal at theLos Cabos Open.[19] He lost to third seedDenis Shapovalov in the semifinal.[20]
