Achiel Buysse (1918–1984) was aBelgian cyclist. He was born on 20 December 1918 atLochristi, Belgium and died on 23 July 1984 atWetteren, Belgium.[1] He was a professional cyclist from 1938 to 1950. He is the father-in-law ofMichel Vaarten, and the grandfather ofPascal Elaut andLuc Colyn who were also racing cyclists.[2]
He shares the record for victories in theTour of Flanders, winning in 1940, 1941 and 1943.[3]
