Abu Hamamah (Arabic:أبو همامة, also known asAbu Humama) is a village in northernSyria, administratively part of theRastan District, located north ofHoms on the southern banks of theOrontes River. According to theSyria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Abu Hamamah had a population of 255 in the 2004 census.[1] Its inhabitants are predominantlyCircassians from theShapsugh tribe.[2]
