Abigail Forbes (born March 10, 2001) is an Americantennis player.
Forbes was born inMineola, New York, to Jamaican parents.[1] She is the oldest of three siblings.[2] Her younger brother,Matthew, is also a tennis player.[3][4]
Forbes won the2019 Wimbledon girls' doubles title withSavannah Broadus, joining three other Americans in the finals of the junior tournaments.[5] On August 10, 2019, she andAlexa Noel won theUSTA Girls 18s National Championships in doubles, earning them a wild-card entry into the main draw of the2019 US Open.[6]
Forbes has a career-highITF junior combined ranking of No. 16 achieved on October 14, 2019. She began attendingUCLA for the fall 2019 semester.
After graduation, she enrolled in theUNC Kenan–Flagler Business School and joined theNorth Carolina Tar Heels tennis team.[7] She won a national team title in her first season at North Carolina in2023.[8]
