Abdullah bin Ayub (3 January 1926 – 13 December 2018)[1][2][3] was aMalaysian civil servant who served as the 6th Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia from 1 January 1979 to 30 November 1982.[4]

Early life

Abdullah was born on 3 January 1926 in Pasir Panjang Laut,Sitiawan,Perak.[5] He graduated with a B.A (hons) fromUniversity of Malaya, Singapore in 1953. In the same year, he was also awarded the"Queen's Scholarship" for his outstanding achievements.[6][7]

Death

Abdullah died on 13 December 2018 at theNational Heart Institute (IJN) inKuala Lumpur. He was 92.[8][9][10] He was laid to rest at theBukit Kiara Muslim Cemetery,Kuala Lumpur.[11][12]
