Abdul Haq Bin Seidu Osman (born 27 February 1987) is a Ghanaianfootballer who plays forSholing.

Career

Early career

Osman started his career atHampton & Richmond Borough before he moved on to play at youth level forWatford, before signing forMaidenhead United. After leaving theMagpies, Osman then signed forGretna in the summer of 2007, signing a 12-month contract with theAnvils, scoring one goal versusMotherwell.[3] Osman was then a free agent after theAnvils entered administration and he attracted interest from a number of clubs, withLeeds United,Ipswich Town andBrighton all reported to be keen on him, as well as various clubs from Scotland.

Northampton Town

In June 2008, Osman signed forNorthampton Town after he failed a medical withKilmarnock.[4] On 22 September 2010, Osman netted the winning penalty-kick atAnfield Stadium, as theCobblers knockedLiverpool out of theLeague Cup. In May 2011, along with seven other players, Osman was informed that his contract would not be renewed by the club.[5]

Kerkyra

In July 2011, Osman then went on trial atGreek Superleague clubKerkyra and signed a2+12-year contract in August 2011.[6]

Crewe Alexandra

On 25 July 2012, Osman then joinedCrewe Alexandra on a two-year contract.[7]

Partick Thistle

After being released by theRailwaymen in 2014, Osman went on trial withPartick Thistle, before signing for theHarry Wraggs on 23 July 2014.[8] Osman scored his first goal for theFirhill club on 13 September 2014, in a 3–1 win versusInverness Caledonian Thistle, heading in from a corner to give his club a 2–1 lead.[9] On 15 May 2015, Osman signed a new one-year contract with theHarry Wraggs, keeping him at the club until the end of the2015-16 season.[10] Osman was then appointedclub captain at the beginning of the 2015–16 season. Osman was then sent-off in Thistle's 2–1 win versusSt Johnstone.[11] Thistle were relegated via the play-offs at the end of the2017-18 season. Following the club's relegation, Osman was one of many players released by Thistle.[12]

Lamia

On 17 August 2018, Osman returned to the Superleague, signing a contract withLamia.[13]

Falkirk

On 2 January 2019, after being released byLamia during November 2018, Osman signed forScottish Championship clubFalkirk on 2 January 2019 until the end of the2018-19 season.[14]

Queen of the South

On 4 October 2019, after training withDumfries clubQueen of the South for a few weeks, Osman signed a short-term contract until 11 January 2020 and debuted against his former clubPartick Thistle, as a second-half substitute.[15] On 10 January 2020, Osman extended his contract with Queens until 30 June 2020.[16]

Dartford

On 2 October 2020, Osman joinedDartford. On 27 November 2020,Dartford confirmed Osman had left the club to return home to his family in Scotland.[17]

Brechin City

On 20 January 2021, Osman returned to Scottish football and signed withLeague Two sideBrechin City.[18]

Walton Casuals

Osman joinedWalton Casuals at the start of the 2021–22 season.[19]

Sittingbourne

On July 7, 2022, Osman joinedSittingbourne ahead of the start of the 2022–23 season.[20]

Hanwell Town

[edit]

On 21 February 2023, Osman signed forSouthern Football League sideHanwell Town.[21]
