Abdul Hai Baloch (Urdu:عبدالحئی بلوچ), also known asAbdul Hayee Baloch (1 February 1946 – 25 February 2022), was a Pakistani social and political activist fromBalochistan.
Baloch was born on 1 February 1946 in theChhalgari DistrictBolan in theBalochistan province ofPakistan. He received anMBBS fromDow Medical college.[citation needed]
He was elected as the member ofNational Assembly of Pakistan in 1970s.[1][2][3] Baloch was the prominent and one of the founding leaders ofBalochistan National Movement[4] and later became the president of theNational Party.[5][6] He later formed his own political party known as National Democratic Party (NDP) in 2018.[2][7]
Baloch received the Jalib Peace Award 2016 given by theArts Council of Pakistan.[8]
He died in a traffic collision on 25 February 2022, at the age of 76.[9]
