Adriaan Mansveld (14 July 1944 – 5 December 1991) was a Dutchfootballer who played as alibero.
Born inThe Hague, Mansveld played club football forFC Den Haag,Golden Gate Gales,Feyenoord andFC Utrecht.[1][2][3] A stand atZuiderpark Stadion, ADO Den Haag's stadium, was named after Mansveld.[4] At ADO Den Haag's new stadium, theCars Jeans Stadium, a statue of Mansveld was also erected.[5]
He also earned 6 caps for theNetherlands national team between 1972 and 1973.[1] He played in a number of qualifying matches for the1974 FIFA World Cup, but was injured for the actual tournament.[4][3]
He died at the age of 47 from cancer.[4]
