A.S.D. Solbiatese Calcio 1911[1] is anItalian association football club located inSomma Lombardo and also representing the town ofSolbiate Arno (Province of Varese), Lombardy. It currently plays inEccellenza.
The club was founded in 2012 after the merger ofA.S. Solbiatese Arno Calcio andS.S. Sommese 1920.[2]
The team was founded in 1911 asA.S. Solbiatese Calcio inSolbiate Arno and spent several seasons inSerie C andSerie C2. It was refounded asSolbiatese Arno Calcio[3] in 2000, takingSolbiatese Arno Calcio, by merging withA.S. Arno Calcio (founded 1980 in the same town).
During the seasons 2007–10, their top scorer has beenMassimo 'Max' Marsich.
In the 2010–11 season, the club was relegated fromSerie D group B toEccellenza Lombardy.[4] In the next season it was again relegated toPromozione Lombardy
The team was founded in 1920 inSomma Lombardo.
In the 2011–12 it was ranked 2nd inEccellenza Lombardy/A and was defeated byReal Vicenza in the final playoffs.[5]
