ART26.12 is an experimental drug that acts as a selective inhibitor of the enzymeFABP5, which usually breaks downendocannabinoids such asanandamide. ART26.12 thereby boosts endocannabinoid levels and hasanalgesic effects, showing efficacy against atypical pain syndromes such ashyperalgesia andallodynia. It is being researched as a potential treatment forneuropathy which can occur as a side effect of some kinds ofchemotherapy, as well as showing activity againstpsoriasis.[1][2][3][4]
