AP Diving orAmbient Pressure Diving, formerly known asA.P.Valves, is a British manufacturer of diving equipment atWater-Ma-Trout inHelston, Cornwall, England. They produce a range ofscuba andsurface-supplied diving equipment includingbuoyancy compensator jackets and the Inspiration range of electronically controlled closed circuit divingrebreathers.[1][2][3]

The firm started in 1969 making a valve to allow a diver to breathe from astabiliser jacket buoyancy compensator's inflation cylinder.[citation needed] They progressed to making divers'adjustable buoyancy life-jackets and stabiliser jackets, and then other diving equipment such asrebreathers.[4] and diving accessories etc.[citation needed]

They often exhibit at diving trade shows.[5]

It has been superseded by more recent models using different electronic control systems, which arebackwards compatible with the original architecture.[6][7][8]
  • "Buddy" and "Commando" - recreational and military scuba buoyancy compensators.[9]
  • "Mk IV Jump Jacket" - a buoyancy compensator designed for use with surface supplied diving equipment.[10]
