TheA1300 is the main 'cross town' route inSouth Shields,Tyne and Wear. The road runs from Simonside to Marsden via Harton Nook. It is 3.7 miles (6 km) long.
TheA1300 begins as theJohn Reid Road at the junction with theA194. The road proceeds asDual carriageway through Simonside, Brockley Whins, Biddick Hall and West Harton before passingSouth Tyneside District Hospital andTemple Memorial Park.
The duel carrigeway ends at theA1018 King George Rd Roundabout, and it goes along shops near Prince Edward Rd (A1300)It gets to a roundabout were the Sunderland Rd meets the A1300.then it gets to an Odd Traffic Light T Junction, but no left turn into that road,it gets to a roundabout were Centenary Ave meets to (Horsley Hill Square) and the A1300 Goes still on all the way to another roundabout.now it meets nearly the last junction for the A1300 so the roads meet the A1300 at a roundabout which is B1301 and Lizard Ln.
The road then becomesRedwell Lane and meets the Coast Road (A183) on the coast at Marsden.
