A. K. C. Natarajan (born 30 March 1931) is acarnatic musicclarinet player. He was awarded theMadras Music Academy'sSangeetha Kalanidhi in 2008. He received aSangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1994.[1] He was bestowed with the titleNadha Dweepa Kalanidhi by Nadhadweepam Trust, Tiruchirappalli.[2] He learnt vocal music fromAlathur Venkatesa Iyer and hisnagaswaram teacher was Iluppur Natesa Pillai, brother of thethavil maestro Iluppur Panchami.[3] In 2022, Natarajan was awarded aPadma Shri, the fourth-highest honour that can be bestowed upon a civilian in India, for contribution in the arts.[4]
