Amie "Breeze" Harper is an American^[1]critical racefeminist,diversity strategist,^[2] and author of books and studies onveganism andracism.^[3][4] HerSistah Vegan anthology features a collection of writings by black female vegans.^[5]

Harper attributes her initial interest in practicing veganism to the influence of the work ofDick Gregory in connecting diet to the liberation struggle of marginalized groups, and toAfrocentric,raw foodistQueen Afua.^[6]

In 2015, Harper organized a conference,The Vegan Praxis of Black Lives Matters, to discussintersectional issues concerning veganism and theBlack Lives Matter movement.^[7] In the same year, Harper joined the advisory board forBlack Vegans Rock.^[8]

Harper was the Humane Party's vice-presidential nominee for the2016 U.S. presidential election.^[9]
