67th parallel north

The67th parallel north is acircle of latitude that is 67degreesnorth of theEarth'sequatorial plane, approximately 50 km north of theArctic Circle. It crosses theAtlantic Ocean,Europe,Asia andNorth America.

At this latitudemidnight sun lasts from aboutJune 1st toJuly 10th, and thesun is visible for 1 hour, 30 minutes during thewinter solstice. Atmidnight on thesummer solstice, the altitude of the sun is 0.85°.

If the latitude in the northern hemisphere is 67°45′ or smaller, every day in the month of March can view bothastronomical dawn and astronomical dusk.
