The4th Daytime Emmy Awards were held Thursday, May 12, 1977, onNBC to commemorate excellence in daytime programming from the previous year (1976). The live coverage held fromTavern on the Green restaurant inCentral Park, New York. The fourth awards only had three categories, and thus three awards were given. Hosts werePeter Marshall,Chuck Woolery,Victoria Wyndham,Jack Gilford, andSoupy Sales with a special guest appearance byGilda Radner ofSaturday Night Live. Telecast from 3-4:30 p.m., the awards preemptedAnother World andThe Gong Show.
