The44th parallel north is acircle of latitude that is 44degreesnorth of theEarth'sequatorial plane. It crossesEurope, theMediterranean Sea,Asia, thePacific Ocean,North America, and theAtlantic Ocean.

At this latitude, astronomically, thesun is visible circa 15 hours 29 minutes before the dawn during thesummer solstice and 8 hours, 53 minutes during thewinter solstice.^[1]
