The3rd Foot Guards were an infantry regiment of theRoyal Prussian Army. The regiment was formed in 1860.[1] As part of theGuards Corps it fought in theSecond Schleswig War, theAustro-Prussian War, theFranco-Prussian War andWorld War I. The regiment was disbanded in 1919 with theInfantry Regiment 9 Potsdam bearing its tradition.
