TheGrammy Award for Best New Artist was originally awarded toMilli Vanilli, but the award was revoked by theNational Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences on November 19, 1990[3][4][5] after the admission by band membersFab Morvan andRob Pilatus that they did not sing on their album,Girl You Know It's True: the award was declared vacant.[6] As of 2025, this is the only occasion that a Grammy award has been revoked.
