3-Fluoromethcathinone (also known as3-FMC) is achemical compound of thephenethylamine,amphetamine, andcathinoneclasses that has been sold online as adesigner drug.[1][2] It is astructural isomer offlephedrone (4-fluoromethcathinone).

3-Fluoroisomethcathinone is produced as a by-product when 3-FMC is synthesized, the activity of this compound is unknown.[3]

Effects

This chemical's effects and safety have not been studied scientifically.[3]

Legal status

In the United States, 3-FMC isSchedule I controlled substance.[4]

In the United Kingdom, 3-FMC is a controlled drug under the cathinoneblanket ban.

3-FMC is anAnlage II controlled drug in Germany.

3-FMC is banned in the Czech Republic.[5]
