On the evening of 2 September 2019, abomb on atractor killed 16 people and injured 119 others at a housing compound used byinternational organisations in Kabul, Afghanistan.[1]The target of the attack was foreign citizens living in the town; fiveNepalis, twoBritons and a 43-year-oldRomaniandiplomat were killed in the attack.[2] Twenty-five other foreign residents were wounded, including another Romanian.[3]
On 5 September 2019, at least 12 people, including anAmerican service member and a Romanian soldier,[4] were killed and more than 40 injured when asuicide car bomber exploded in a heavily fortified area of central Kabul, close to the Afghan security offices. TheTaliban claimed responsibility for the attacks.[5][6]
