The2028 United States Senate election in South Carolina will be held on November 7, 2028, to elect a member of theUnited States Senate to representSouth Carolina, concurrently with the 2028 U.S. presidential election, as well as elections to theU.S. House of Representatives and otherstate andlocal elections. IncumbentRepublican senatorTim Scott, who was re-elected in2022, is retiring from the U.S. Senate after stating that his 2022 re-election campaign would be his last, which leaves the election an open race.[1]
