The2026 California State Board of Equalization elections will be taking place on November 3, 2026, to elect all four seats of theState Board of Equalization, with the non-partisan blanket primary election taking place on June 2, 2026.
The incumbent is RepublicanTed Gaines, who was re-elected in2022 with 55.5% of the vote. He is term-limited and ineligible to run for re-election. District 1 encompasses much of inland California, stretching fromModoc County andSisiyou County on the Oregon border toSouthern California to include a portion ofSan Bernardino County.
The incumbent is DemocratSally Lieber, who was elected in2022 with 69.8% of the vote and is eligible to run for a second term. District 2 encompasses a majority of coastal California, stretching fromDel Norte County on the Oregon border toVentura County, nearLos Angeles County.
The incumbent is DemocratTony Vazquez, who was re-elected in2022 with 70.4% of the vote. He is term-limited and ineligible to run for re-election, instead running forstate treasurer.[4] District 3 encompasses the entirety ofLos Angeles County.
