Indian elections in 2025
The2025 elections in India includes the election to the office of thevice president of India,Rajya Sabha,state legislative assemblies,rural andurbanlocal bodies.
Vice presidential election
[edit]The vice presidential election was held on 9 September 2025 following the early resignation ofJagdeep Dhankhar. The votes were counted on the same day andC. P. Radhakrishnan was elected as the nextVice president of India.[1]
Rajya Sabha elections
[edit]Elections for 14 seats in theRajya Sabha were held on 19 June and 24 October 2025.[2][3]
