The2025 Phoenix Mercury season was the 28th season for thePhoenix Mercury of theWomen's National Basketball Association, and the second season under general manager, Nick U'Ren, and head coach,Nate Tibbetts. It will be the first season since2012 without 11-year veteran and2014 WNBA championBrittney Griner under contract, signing with theAtlanta Dream in free agency. It will also be the first season following the retirement of 3-timeWNBA champion and WNBA all-time leading scorerDiana Taurasi who spent all 20 of her WNBA seasons (2004–2014, 2016–2024) with the franchise.
