The2025 Copa Libertadores final will be the final match which will decide the winner of the2025 Copa Libertadores. This is the 66th edition of theCopa Libertadores, the top-tier South American continental clubfootball tournament organized byCONMEBOL.

The match will be played by Brazilian clubsPalmeiras andFlamengo on 29 November 2025 at theEstadio Monumental inLima, Peru.[1]

The winners of the 2025 Copa Libertadores will qualify for the2025 FIFA Intercontinental Cup and the2029 FIFA Club World Cup and will earn the right to play against the winners of the2025 Copa Sudamericana in the2026 Recopa Sudamericana. They will also automatically qualify for the2026 Copa Libertadores group stage.

Venue

On 28 April 2025,Lima was announced as the host city for the final match of the2025 Copa Libertadores at a stadium to be confirmed, following an application made by thePeruvian Football Federation.[2] The appointment was confirmed after a meeting between the president ofCONMEBOLAlejandro Domínguez and the president of PeruDina Boluarte, who stated that the Peruvian government would commit to providing the necessary guarantees for the event to take place.[3]

On 11 August 2025, CONMEBOL confirmedEstadio Monumental as the venue for the final match.[1] This will be the fourth Copa Libertadores final to be played in the Peruvian capital and the second to be played at Estadio Monumental after the2019 one, in which Brazilian clubFlamengo defeated Argentine sideRiver Plate.[4]

Format

The final will be played as a single match at a pre-selected venue, with the higher-seeded team designated as the "home" team for administrative purposes. If scores are level after full time, 30 minutes of extra time will be played. If still tied after extra time, a penalty shoot-out will be used to determine the winner.[5]
