2025 Chhattisgarh local bodies elections were held on11 February 2025 to elect members of local bodies inChhattisgarh.[2] The counting of votes for 10Municipal Corporation, 49Nagar Palikas, 114Nagar Panchayats were declared on15th February 2025.
In the results of the municipal elections, theBharatiya Janata Party delivered a strong performance, securing landslide victory in 126 out of 173 local bodies, while theIndian National Congress had to settle for just 30. Independents led in 15 bodies, while theBahujan Samaj Party and theAam Aadmi Party won one each. TheJanta Congress Chhattisgarh failed to make an impact. In all 10 municipal corporations, including the state capitalRaipur, BJP's mayoral candidates emerged victorious. Notably, for the first time in approximately 111 years, the BJP won inKanker Nagar Panchayat, defeating the Congress.[3][4][5][6]
