The2025–26 season is the second consecutive season ofPortsmouth Football Club in theEFL Championship since their promotion in 2024. In addition to thedomestic league, the club would also participate in theFA Cup, and theEFL Cup.
Portsmouth were knocked out of the EFL Cup in the First Round on 12 August 2025 at home toReading after a 1–2 defeat.[1]

On 29 May, Portsmouth announced they would visitBratislava, Slovakia for a pre-season training camp and matches againstWoking,Farnborough andHavant & Waterlooville.[28] A day later, a fourth fixture was confirmed, againstCrawley Town.[29] A trip to faceReading was then later added to the schedule.[30] On 30 June, it was announced thatEredivisie sidePEC Zwolle would visitFratton Park during pre-season.[31]
