The2025–26 season is the 92nd season in the history ofPeterborough United Football Club, and their fourth consecutive season inLeague One. In addition to thedomestic league, the club would also participate in theFA Cup, theEFL Cup, and theEFL Trophy.

Managerial changes

On 25 October,Darren Ferguson was sacked following the 2–1 home defeat toBlackpool.[1] Four days later,Luke Williams was appointed as the new manager on a three-year contract.[2]

Pre-season and friendlies

On 4 June, Peterborough United announced three pre-season fixtures againstStamford,Boston United andGrimsby Town.[44] Six days later, a fourth friendly was confirmed againstPeterborough Sports.[45] A fifth friendly was later added, againstLeicester City.[46] On 13 June,Posh added a sixth fixture to the schedule againstKing's Lynn Town.[47] Four days later, a seventh friendly was added, againstColchester United.[48]

Abehind-closed-doors fixture againstNotts County was also announced which was later cancelled and replaced with a game atMK Dons.[49]
