Pre-season and friendlies

As part of pre-season, Newcastle United announced they would head toScotland to faceScottish Premiership championsCeltic,[49] and toSingapore to face fellowPremier League sideArsenal as part of theSingapore's Festival of Football Tournament.[50] Also confirmed was a first-ever visit toSouth Korea, to take part in the prestigious Coupang Play Series 2025, againstK League XI andTottenham Hotspur.[51] On 2 June, it was announced thatSt. James' Park would host the 2025 Sela Cup againstAtlético Madrid.[52] A second home friendly was later confirmed, againstEspanyol.[53]
