The2025–26 Championnat National season is the 33rd since the establishment of theChampionnat National and the 27th in its current format, which serves as third division of theFrench football league system.

This season is also be the last to use the National name, with the league being renamedLigue 3 starting in the 2026–27 season.[1]

Notes:

  1. ^Originally ranked 12th inLigue 2 the previous season but was relegated administratively due to financial problems.[2]
  2. ^Promoted despite losing in the promotion play-offs in the previous season.
  3. ^On 14 August 2025, due to continuing financial issues, Ajaccio were excluded from the competition.[3]
  4. ^On 4 July 2025, theDNCG excluded Martigues from national competitions.[4]

Name changes

  • Aubagne changed its official name toAubagne Air Bel after the team merged with SC Air Bel and took effect this season.[5]
