The2025–26 season is the 127th season in the history ofCardiff City Football Club and their first season back inLeague One (third tier) since the2002–03 season following relegation from theChampionship in theprevious season. In addition to thedomestic league, the club would also participate in theFA Cup, theEFL Cup, and theEFL Trophy.

Prior to the season starting,Brian Barry-Murphy was appointed as Head Coach on a three-year contract.^[1]
