The2025–26 season is the 128th season in the history ofBristol City Football Club and their eleventh consecutive season in theChampionship. In addition to thedomestic league, the club also participate in theFA Cup and theEFL Cup.

Prior to the season starting, the club appointedGerhard Struber as the new head coach on a three-year contract.[1] Later in the month, the club announced the appointment ofBernd Eibler as assistant coach.[2]

Pre-season and friendlies

On 4 June, Bristol City announced their first pre-season fixture againstMilton Keynes Dons.[57] Six days later, three more fixtures were confirmed againstBournemouth,Newport County andCheltenham Town.[58] A fifth fixture was later added, againstPlymouth Argyle.[59] On 10 July, a home friendly againstRayo Vallecano was announced.[60]
