• January 2 –WWE NXT in the United Kingdom returned to theWWE Network after airing onTNT Sports since January 2020.
• January 5 –Impact Plus relaunched asTNA+ and distributed byEndeavor Streaming.
• January 13 –Impact Wrestling reverted to its original Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) name, beginning withHard To Kill (TNA had been renamed to Impact in 2017); at the event,Nic Nemeth,A. J. Francis, andAsh by Elegance made their TNA debuts, whileDeAngelo Williams made his TNA return.
• January 23 –Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was appointed to theboard of directors ofTKO Group Holdings, the parent company ofWWE. Additionally, WWE announced that in the United States,WWE Raw would move toNetflix in January 2025, leavinglinear television for the first time since its inception in January 1993 and after airing on theUSA Network since October 2005, while outside of the US, it and WWE's other programs would also move to the streaming platform, which officially closed down theWWE Network in most of the world; a select few countries still maintain the WWE Network due to pre-existing contracts, after which, they will transition to Netflix.
• January 26 – Following a sexual allegations lawsuit,Vince McMahon resigned fromTKO Group Holdings andWWE as a whole.

• February 6 –NWA Powerrr premiered onThe CW's streaming app after airing solely onYouTube since January 2023. Older episodes ofPowerrr had previously been uploaded to The CW app in November 2023.
• February 7 –Anthem Sports & Entertainment President Anthony Cicone was appointed President ofTotal Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), replacingScott D'Amore, whose contract was terminated.
• March 6 –Kazuchika Okada officially signed withAll Elite Wrestling (AEW), making his first appearance as an AEW roster member onAEW Dynamite.

• April 7 – During night two ofWrestleMania XL,Cody Rhodes defeatedRoman Reigns to become theUndisputed WWE Champion, thus ending the latter's 1,316-day reign as world champion; Rhodes became the first man to pin Reigns in aone-on-one match sinceDecember 2019 and also became the first Rhodes family member to hold aworld championship in WWE.
• April 10 – DuringAEW Dynamite,All Elite Wrestling (AEW) released on-air surveillance footage of thebackstage altercation betweenCM Punk andJack Perry that took place at the2023 All In event.
• April 12 – OnWWE SmackDown,Tama Tonga officially debuted forWWE, aligning himself withThe Bloodline stable.

• September 13 –WWE SmackDown returned toUSA Network after airing onFox since October 2019.
• September 14 –World of Sport Wrestling was revived and returned to taping after six years.
• September 30 –NWA Powerrr episodes were removed fromThe CW's streaming app, ahead ofWWE NXT's premiere on The CW channel.Peacock also began removing archived episodes ofNXT due to its move to The CW. Archived episodes are not available on The CW app, but replays of new episodes are.

  • WWE NXT in the United States premiered onThe CW after airing on theUSA Network since September 2019. It was also broadcast live for the first time outside the state ofFlorida.

• October 7 –WWE Raw returned to two hours for the first time sinceWWE Raw 1000 in July 2012. This remained until the show moved toNetflix in January 2025, subsequently averaging 2.5 hours per episode.

• October 29 –WWE announced theWWE ID program, which develops and supports the training ofindependent professional wrestlers at specified schools or promotions and provide them a pathway to the promotion.
• December 13 – AtFinal Resolution,Tessa Blanchard made her return toTotal Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), four years after her contract was originally terminated with the company.
• December 24 –WWE's annualTribute to the Troops was quietly canceled without a 2024 event held.
