The2024 United States Senate election in Vermont was held on November 5, 2024, to elect a member of theUnited States Senate to represent the state ofVermont. Primary elections took place on August 13, 2024.[1] Incumbentindependent SenatorBernie Sanders won re-election to a fourth term, defeating theRepublican nominee, businessman Gerald Malloy.

Sanders filed paperwork to run for re-election in 2019. On January 8, 2024, he stated he would decide whether or not to seek re-election in the "near future".[2] On May 6, Sanders formally announced that he would run for re-election.[3]

Sanders won by a margin of 31.09 percentage points, making it his closest Senate race to date despite achieving his largest vote total ever in the state. Sanders performed on par withKamala Harris in the concurrent2024 United States presidential election in Vermont. Harris won by a slightly larger margin of 31.51% but did not carryOrleans County, unlike Sanders. Independent DemocratSteve Berry won 2.19 percent of the vote.
