The2024 Maine State Senate election was held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, with the primary election usinginstant-runoff voting held on June 11, 2024, to elect the 132nd Maine Senate.[1] Voters in all 35 districts of theMaine State Senate elected their senators. The elections coincided with the elections for other offices, including forU.S. President,U.S. Senate,U.S. House and theMaine House of Representatives.
Democrats have maintained control of the state senate since the2018 election and the state house since the2012 election.
Seven incumbents did not seek re-election.
