The2024 DFB-Pokal final decided the winner of the2023–24 DFB-Pokal, the 81st season of the annual Germanfootball cup competition. The match was played on 25 May 2024 at theOlympiastadion inBerlin.[3][4]
The match featured1. FC Kaiserslautern, a2. Bundesliga side, andBundesliga championsBayer Leverkusen. Leverkusen won the match 1–0 for their secondDFB-Pokal title.[5][6]
With the win, Leverkusen completed their first domesticdouble, and therefore faced Bundesliga runners-upVfB Stuttgart in the2024 DFL-Supercup.[7]
Furthermore, since Leverkusen already qualified for theChampions League through the Bundesliga, the seventh-placed team in the Bundesliga,TSG Hoffenheim, earned qualification for the group stage of the2024–25 UEFA Europa League, and the play-off round spot of the2024–25 UEFA Conference League went to the team in eighth,1. FC Heidenheim.[8]

The DFB-Pokal began with 64 teams in asingle-elimination knockout cup competition. There were a total of five rounds leading up to the final. Teams were drawn against each other, and the winner after 90 minutes would advance. If still tied, 30 minutes ofextra time was played. If the score was still level, apenalty shoot-out was used to determine the winner.[9]
