IncumbentRepublican treasurerLarry Walther cannot seek a full term following his appointment by GovernorSarah Huckabee Sanders after the death ofMark Lowery.[2] Secretary of StateJohn Thurston entered the race as a Republican candidate.[3] Former state senator John Pagan entered the race as aDemocratic candidate.[4] Chief Economist Michael Pakko entered the race as aLibertarian candidate.[5]
