The2024–25 snooker season was a professionalsnooker season featuring tournaments played between June 2024 and May 2025, including the professionalWorld Snooker Tour, the second-tierQ Tour and featured events fromWorld Women's Snooker andWorld Seniors Tour. The season featured 18ranking tournaments, including a ranking tournament inHong Kong for the first time aftera 30-year hiatus[1] and a ranking event staged inSaudi Arabia for the first time. TheEuropean Series was discontinued and theEuropean Masters was removed from the calendar.
This season saw thereigning world championKyren Wilson, theworld number oneJudd Trump,Mark Selby, andNeil Robertson claim multiple titles.John Higgins won theWorld Open andTour Championship, setting a record span of 30 years between his first and most recent ranking titles.[2] In theTriple Crown events, Trump won his secondUK Championship title andShaun Murphy won his secondMasters title. After returning from a 20-month ban,Zhao Xintong won four qualifying matches to reach the main stage of theWorld Championship and went on to win his first world title with an 18–12 victory overMark Williams, who was the oldest ever world finalist at age 50.[3] Zhao became the first World Champion from China and also the first from Asia. The season set a new record for the number ofmaximum breaks made in professional competition, with 15, although this record was broken thefollowing season.[4] Trump set a new record for the mostcentury breaks in a single season, with 107.
TheWorld Snooker Tour in the 2024–25 season initially consisted of 127 professional players, but dropped to 126 afterMichael White had his WPBSA membership revoked. The tour includes the top 64 players from theprize money rankings after the2024 World Championship and 31 players who earned atwo-year card the previous year.[5]
The players listed below have received a two-year tour card for the 2024–25 and2025–26 seasons.[6]
