Ageneral election was held in theU.S. state ofNew Jersey on November 7, 2023.Primary elections were held on June 6. All 80 seats in theNew Jersey General Assembly for two-year terms, and all 40 seats in theState Senate for four-year terms. In addition to the State Legislative elections, numerouscounty offices andCounty Commissioners, in addition tomunicipal offices, were up for election. There were no statewide ballot questions this year, though some counties and municipalities may have had a local question asked. Non-partisan local elections, some school board elections, and some fire district elections also happened throughout the year.

The2023 New Jersey State Senate elections were held on November 7, 2023.New Jersey voters elected state senators in all of the state's legislative districts for a four-year term to theNew Jersey Senate.[2] This was the first election afterredistricting following the2020 United States census. The winners of these elections will be sworn in on January 9, 2024.

TheNew Jersey Democratic Party flipped one seat, the third district. TheNew Jersey Republican Party picked up the twelfth district from an elected Republican who had switched to the Democratic Party.
